Hi,

I am a newbie to nascar and love it so far, but want to go to a race and was wondering if a being at the race is really as electric as people make it out to be.... My new girlfriend says it not.... Would appreciate hearing your view on this.

Thanks

John

Hi John,
We have just now finished the main part of the forums.
Thanks for being the first to post!

If you never been to a Nascar race, then go!
It is just as electric as everyone says... at
least Daytona International Speedway is.

I just joined up today. I'm from Colorado and have been to Pikes Peak Int. Raceway (Busch) Texas & Phoenix (Winston Cup) and I say you have to see it live to appreciate it John!!
You cant smell the fumes or tire smoke and deff. cant feel the rumble of those engines on t.v. :-))

Hi Ballzzzy!
Man, that must be a cool track at Texas.. I heard it was really fast.

Welcome to iStockcar and the new forum. I am still getting the bugs
out but most everything works now :)

Thanks karl, glad to be here!
We went to the innagural race in Texas,it rained all day Thursday & Friday and the parking was like a mudbog. It was fun watching the "crazies" messing around in it!
The weekend was nice and sunny though and yes,it is a fast track! :D Mark won Sat :) blew up Sun. :(

Mark always seems to race well on that track. Hopefully he can do
it this year. I am a big Mark Martin fan since 1991, hence my logo :)

You really need to be there to appreciate it. An earlier poster mentioned something about the sounds and the smells. I'll take it a step further by saying there's no better aroma than the smell of BBQ, Nascar exhaust, and a cold beer under your nose.

(you arm around something with perfume does'nt hurt either!)

You can't really appreciate how awesome it is, until you have been to a race. My husband and I went to the Pepsi 400 in Daytona, and I have been a fan ever since then!
